SiGi-Spot is the project on 60 GHz radio technology for high-capacity wireless in-home communication networks from Eindhoven Technical University, Technical University Delft and TNO.

Best Student Paper Award for Xueli An
WMC PhD student Xueli An's paper entitled "Beam Switching Support to Resolve Link-Blockage Problem in 60 GHz WPANs", co-authored with Chin-Sean Sum, R. Venkatesha Prasad, Junyi Wang, Zhou Lan, Jing Wang, Ramin Hekmat, Hiroshi Harada, and Ignas Niemegeers, got the PIMRC 2009 (Tokyo, Japan, September 13-16, 2009) Best Student Paper Award. Xueli is working in the SiGi Spot project. From March to June 2009, she did an intership at the Ubiquitous Mobile Communications Group, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Yokosuka, Japan.
